When you fill your mind with worries there truly isn’t room for anything else. The worry becomes your focus and you miss out on what is happening in the present.
A mind full of worry also affects your body. It may cause you to breathe shallow, hold your breath, and speed up your heart… a whole list of physical results just because you are focused on something that you can’t control.
I’m not saying this is easy because it isn’t but I do think it is something that we all need to pay attention too. Worrying doesn’t solve anything!
