I am sure we all know friends who can’t do anything without their significant other. This is something that I just don’t get. How can a relationship grow if you don’t have your own friends, you can’t go anywhere without the other person? What do you have to bring to the relationship if you are together all the time?
To me it is important to have a relationship where I can grow, where I can have things that I do just for me that make me fulfilled which in turn brings something back to a relationship. Aren’t these just basic needs to maintain a healthy relationship?
Doesn’t one need to trust the other person enough to know that they will ‘come back’, if not, is that really a relationship? It certainly isn’t for me.
What do you think?
