Isn’t that the truth! I have a friend who is walking the talk. A dear friend of his is dying and he has been spending every day visiting his friend, chauffeuring his friend’s children around, making sure people get to the airport, anything that needs to be done. Now that is what I call true caring!
So many of us say we care and then do nothing about it but give lip service. Caring doesn’t just mean helping someone when they are dying. To me it means giving someone a call, writing a letter or email, taking a friend to lunch or just sitting and listening (and turning off your phone!).
What kind of things have you done lately to show that you care?
