This is probably one of the hardest things to do since none of us want to say that we were wrong or made a mistake but speaking the truth always set you free.
I recently asked someone about something where they could have made up a story about how the issue happened but they were honest and said that they had done it. The thing they did wasn’t right but I respect them because they owned up to it and took responsibility and rectified the issue.
Speaking the truth certainly saves you from having to remember the lies you told or who you told them to. Speaking the truth, to me, also shows strength and the integrity of a person.
